shirts collared polos
When my mom washes my polo shirts the collar gets 'flattened'??

... and the only way i can fix it is ironing it... and then it gets messed up when we wash it. Any thing i can change in wash/dry to make that not happen?

If you mean that the collar loses its crease, there's not a lot you can do. Back when polo shirts were really popular, the collars had a sort of "rolled" look, rather than a crisp crease.

If you really want the crease, one thing you might try is to go ahead and iron the shirts --- then do something to weaken the fabric along the crease (either chemically or with excess heat). By doing that, you'll force the collar to fold over along that line. Unfortunately, this will also cause the shirt to wear out faster.
